VNC Health Fairs:
Dr. Morgan & graduate nursing students participated in a Back to School Health Fair presented by the Jamaicans of the Palm Beaches, Ins. & Palm Healthcare Foundation. The fair was held at the Molly Wilmot Center on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Over 200 children were served. Dr. Morgan &the graduate nurses’ educated the back to school students& their parents on the importance of hand hygiene. This health initiative was chosen because handwashing is like a ‘do-it-yourself’ vaccine-regular handwashing, particularly before and after certain activities, is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, & prevent the spread of germs to others. After the children & parents demonstrated proper hand washing-they were given a travel size hand sanitizer to keep in their backpacks. A great time was had by all!
